The student receiving both qualifications can expect a wider range of opportunities in clinical hypnotherapy and the more generic health care administration marketplace. The program awards Diploma in Hypnotherapy (DHP) through distance learning offered by the Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Hypnosis. This distance learning Diploma program is endorsed and jointly delivered by ICL Distance Learning Center (A Division of In-Com Link Management Associates Ltd), an approved and accredited course provider of West Coast University.

Students, after completed this Diploma program and endorsed by ICL Distance Learning Center (A Division of In-Com Link Management Associates Ltd), may apply for further study of either Master degree of Hypnotherapy (MH) or Master degree of Clinical Hypnotherapy (MCH) of West Coast University by submitting a thesis paper and practicum record or through a pure distance learning course delivery.

Master degree of Hypnotherapy (MH) is emphasis on theoretical study of hypnotherapy and its applications on organizational management, while Master of Clinical Hypnotherapy (MCH) on area of clinical practicum.

Study Packages:

Each subject will include well-prepared study notes in PDF format, recommended reading list, tutor contact emails, and assignment (s).

 

Course Assessments:

All subjects are on a task assignment basis. Each subject will have at least one or more written assignment (s) to ask students how to solve task problems or improve their efficiency and effectiveness at work. All assignments are marked and graded by highly qualified tutors.

 

Objectives:

The objective of the joint Diploma in Hypnotherapy/Master Degree in Hypnotherapy or Clinical Hypnotherapy program (HK Stream) is to assist those who wish to practice hypnotherapy to know more about its basic theory of hypnosis and hypnotherapy, and on hand practicing skills. The syllabuses are self-contained to help those who wish to pursue an advanced study and practice of clinical hypnotherapy.

 

Target Groups

1) People with no pervious training in hypnosis and / or hypnotherapy who wishes to pursue an advanced study of clinical hypnotherapy.

2) Holders of diploma in Hypnotherapy who wishes to pursue an advanced study of hypnotherapy research or clinical management in hypnotherapy no matter in clinical practice or business module. The applicant must provide a certified copy of diploma with course content from an accredited institution.

The joint diploma/degree program is available for those students wishing to earn both the DHP and the MCH or MH at the same time.

PRA001/002/003 Practicum I/II/III  (9 credits Total)

The Practicum I/II/III should be in total with 10 successful cases (100 clinical session hours at least).

Your task will be to produce, double line spaced, written in detail of your practical sessions with clients. You recording report which may include written recording, approach, theory and Video Tapes /VCD /DVD recording of each session is a must.

 

THS001/002/003 Master's Thesis I/II/III (6/9 credits Total)

The Master's Thesis prepared by the student in order to reflect his/her own ideas and those of others in a clear, concise, and effective fashion and correlation with hypnosis and hypnotherapy. There must cover an area of interest to you within the field of clinical hypnotherapy. It must explore and analyze the literature you are reading as well as apply that information to you in areas of your practice. The Thesis will be prepared in the APA format (double-spaced with 1.0-inch margins and following the APA format as noted in the APA Publication Manual, 5th ed.) and is 100 pages in length for THS001/002, 150 pages in length for THS001/002/003, excluding Table of Contents, Bibliography, or Appendixes.

This course is detailing the way that we choose to approach the subject of past life regression.

The clients’ belief system: Do a past life regression for “fun”. Strategies will be discussed.

All of the above modules are supervised by qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist Examiner of the field and professional lecturers for management subjects, e.g. assignment marking and email discussion. All the teaching materials of hypnotherapy subjects are designed by the Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Hypnosis and management subjects by In-Com Link Management Associates Ltd with copyright and accredited by West Coast University. Students may not share these materials with others by any means without the written consent of the Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Hypnosis and In-Com Link Management Associates Ltd.

Duration:

1-1.5 year.

 

Exemptions:

If students possess and can demonstrate competency in the module, they may apply for exemption of the related module.

 

Delivery Mode:

This degree program is delivering on correspondence basis with email/fax tutorial support.

 

Course Fee:

Each 3 credits course: US$500 or HK$3,900

For modules of MGT001A/001B: US$800 or HK$6,400

For modules of THS001/002/003, each 3 credits module for thesis writing: US$600 or HK$4,800

(2)  Successful applicants will be notified to send the following certified copies of documents, not the original documents (Certified by  public notaries, accountants, embassy, trade commissioner or any government offices of the students'  countries) to ICL Distance Learning Center (A Division of In-Com Link Management Associates Ltd). Photocopies of the below documents without certification by appropriate authority will not be accepted.

(a)    Passport/Social Security ID page showing the full name and birth date of the students.

(b)    Past educational qualifications and employment records

(3) Pay appropriate fee (s) to In-Com Link Management Associates Ltd., including US$40 or HK$300 non-refundable application fee and related module course fee. Only bank draft or money order is acceptable and payable to “ In-Com Link Management Associates Ltd”. Bank wire transfer is also accepted but applicants need to contact with the organization at first at info@icledu.orgPaid fee (s) is/are non-refundable after courses are registered.

Academic recognition:

The degree programs offered at WCU are widely recognized by other schools. However, if a WCU graduate wishes to pursue his/her education at any other university, he/she should first ensure that the credits obtained at WCU will be transferred. There are schools that are reluctant to accept credits obtained at a distance learning school. In other cases, transfer of credits is only partial. Accreditation and admission criteria vary from university to university.
